A Romantic Week in Croatia

I had been seeing my girlfriend for about six months when I decided I wanted to marry her. Things had been a bit of a blur to be honest, and I couldn’t quite believe that I felt so strongly so quickly, but when you know, you know!

I was obviously nervous about popping the question and to be honest I had absolutely no idea how she would respond. I had a pretty good feeling that she felt the same as me, but she might feel like we were rushing into things too quickly. I knew that I had to get every detail of the proposal right to make sure I stood the best chance of getting a positive response from her. I decided I would take her away to a romantic location and try to make things that bit more special. I started to look online for a bit of inspiration, and I eventually decided that Croatia looked to be the perfect destination. It looked beautiful, and the city of Zagreb looked to be quite an exciting place. I also remembered watching Goran Ivanisevic playing at Wimbledon years ago, and I fell in love with the Croatian people then! He was so passionate about so many things that it made me want to go there.

I found some cheap Croatia flights online and booked them there and then before I lost my bottle! The holiday was a great success and so was the proposal! I still can’t quite believe that I did and I can’t quite believe that she said yes! Maybe it was the romantic feel of the country that we were in!
